From September 2021, the Bachelor Universitaire de Technologie (University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T)) will become the reference diploma for IUTs.

University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T) Génie Mécanique et Productique (GMP) trains multi-skilled senior technicians for the mechanical engineering industry (level Bac+3), capable of adapting to technological developments and intervening in all stages of the product manufacturing cycle: from design, through industrialization and manufacturing, control and fine-tuning, right through to industrial organization.

At the Orléans IUT, 3 courses are available:

- Innovation for Industry (IPI)

- Digital simulation and virtual reality (SNVR)

- Industrial Process Management (MPI)

Skills

After a period of adaptation to the specifics of the company employing him/her, he/she must be able to :

- analyze and contribute to specifications,

- participate in the various stages of product design,

- analyze a production process in its design and implementation phases,

- take part in production preparation,

- monitor and make use of quality control and fine-tuning work in progress.

To achieve this, he is able to use communication tools in both technical and human fields.
