From September 2021, the Bachelor Universitaire de Technologie (University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T)) replaces the DUT and becomes the reference diploma for IUTs.
The University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T) Métiers de la Transition et de l'Efficacité Énergétiques (MT2E) program prepares students for careers in energy production, use and management in industry, construction and transport, as well as in environmental protection.
2 courses are offered at the Orleans IUT:
- Energy systems for buildings and industry
- Energy optimization for buildings and industry
Skills
Holders of the University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T) MT2E "Energy optimization for building and industry" option can :
- Design, size, audit and recommend solutions for optimizing the energy and environmental performance of buildings (envelope, lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, integration of renewable energies, etc.) and industrial utilities (steam networks, superheated water, chilled water, air conditioning, cogeneration, etc.).
The holder of the University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T) MT2E option "Réalisation des installations pour le bâtiment et l'industrie" can :
- Manage an energy-related operation, i.e. plan and coordinate the construction of all types of installations (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, renewable energies, steam networks, superheated water, chilled water, air conditioning, cogeneration, etc.) from the response to the call for tenders through to completion of the work.
