The management of companies and local authorities today requires increasingly qualified personnel.
The University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T) Business and Administrative Management (GEA) trains middle managers who are immediately operational, whatever the size of the organization employing them.
The IUT's GEA department offers high-level technological training combined with a solid general culture, with the dual aim of offering real prospects for a career in business or further study.
Three courses are available:
- Gestion Comptable, Fiscale et Financière (GCFF)
- Gestion Entrepreneuriat et Management d'Activités (GEMA)
- Gestion et Pilotage des Ressources Humaines (GPRH)
Skills
Over the course of 3 years, for all 3 courses, 3 common skills:
- Analyze the organization's processes within its environment
- Help decision-making
- Manage relations with the organization's stakeholders
From the 2nd year onwards, certain skills are developed in greater depth, depending on the course:
GCFF course
- Produce the organization's accounting, tax and social information
- Evaluate the organization's activity
GEMA course
- Design the value creation strategy
- Manage and develop the value chain
GPRH course
- Manage personnel administration
- Manage human resources development
International dimension
Relationships with foreign universities: Augsburg (Germany), Coventry and Coleraine (UK) and Lublin (Poland).
The 2nd year internship can be carried out abroad.

Program
Courses are taught by a team of university lecturers and executives from the public and private sectors. Courses include
- lectures, tutorials using participative methods (case studies, presentations, business simulations, etc.), group work, language laboratory, satellite television, video workshop, computer facilities (2 self-service rooms), Internet, specific software (Excel, Word, Access, Ciel compta, Sphinx, SPSS, simulation software: Shadow Manager, Forgam, etc.).
