The skills acquired at the University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T) Mechanical and Production Engineering (GMP) will enable you to work in a wide variety of industries: automotive, aeronautics, defense, subcontracting, special-purpose machinery, food processing, agricultural machinery, etc., and to occupy positions in product design, product industrialization and industrial organization.
The University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T) GMP program is structured around theoretical and practical courses (practical work, projects, etc.).
Two courses are offered at the Bourges IUT:
- IPI: Innovation Pour l'Industrie, local adaptation Pyrotechnics (in partnership with the Bourges Pyrotechnics Campus)
- SNRV: Digital Simulation and Virtual Reality
Objectives
The University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T) GMP program has been designed to meet the needs of companies in three professional situations:
- Design
- Methods and production
- Industrial organization
Skills
Common core skills from BUT1 to BUT3:
o C1: specify industrial technical and economic requirements
o C2: determine the design solution
o C3: implement the chosen technical solution
o C4: manage the product and production system life cycle
For BUT2 and BUT3, students will have to choose their path with their 5th associated skill.
IPI path:
o C5: propose innovative solutions to industrial problems
SNRV path:
o C5: virtualize a mechanical product or process from concept to digital twin, in line with the needs of the factory of the future.

In University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T) 2 and University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T) 3, students can opt for a 30-32 week work-study program, with 2 weeks at the IUT and 3 weeks at the company.
Apprenticeship in partnership with CFA de universités Centre Val de Loire
Program
2000 hours of training over 3 years.
From the 2nd year onwards, the core curriculum of the University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T) GMP is completed by a course chosen by the student. This course of around 150 hours is based on those defined by the national University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T) GMP program.

- General baccalaureate
- STI2D baccalaureate or equivalent.
- Initial, sandwich or continuing training.

Target audience
