The "Statistical Data Engineering and Modeling" Master of Engineering program (CMI ISDeM) is a 5-year university program designed to train students for careers in data science engineering.

This is a top-ranking program, with admission based on an application and possible interview, which is supported by the Mathematics degree and the "Applied Mathematics, Statistics" Master's degree atFaculty of Science & Technology.

Objectives

In addition to scientific and technical disciplines, this CMI enables students to acquire skills specific to engineering professions: a high level of language skills, management and administration, taught by staff from the IAE Orléans (University School of Management). Modules in IT and digital sciences are taught by lecturers from the IT department.

Projects and internships are an important part of the training program.

The professions targeted by the CMI ISDEM are those related to data science, computer engineering and artificial intelligence.

Skills

Together with the Bachelor of Mathematics and Master of Mathematics courses, CMI ISDEM graduates acquire :

1. Ability to formalize a problem for its solution, both analytically and numerically

2. Solid grounding in data analysis, statistics, programming in Python, R, Matlab, probability

3. A good level of English

and thanks to opening courses in economics, graduates will also have skills in :

1. Introduction to the "Enterprise" object and its environment;
2. Introduction to performance management tools;
3. Maturation of the student's professional project and introduction to the legal tools of Intellectual Property;
4. Introduction to managerial functions: diagnosing sources of value creation and managing value sustainably in a complex environment;

Organization

Program

In addition to the courses offered in the mathematics degree program and the MAS master's program, students will take a module from the computer science degree program each semester, as well as introductory courses in the social and economic sciences.

The course is assessed at the end of the academic year, and is organized by block of competencies over the 2 semesters of the year. The blocks are validated separately, without compensation.

Enrolment for the following year is subject to validation of the current year and the opinion of the pedagogical committee.

Admission

Admission requirements

Employees, students or job-seekers meeting the following criteria are eligible to apply:

Baccalaureate holders who have taken the Mathematics, NSI and Physics specializations in 1ère; in Terminale: Mathematics and NSI or Physics, or the Expert Mathematics option.

- Students enrolled in CPGE (MPSI or MP2I) who are reorienting ;

- Foreign students with a diploma equivalent to the BAC (with scientific subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science);

Note that admission to the CMI via Parcoursup is made in the 1st year of the bachelor's degree.

Licence application procedures for (future) baccalaureate holders with a French baccalaureate obtained in France and applying for the 1st time: https: //www.parcoursup.fr

Enrolment in JULY, as soon as the results of the baccalauréat are known, in accordance with the procedures communicated at the time of pre-registration.

Entrance to this license is via the General Scientific License Mathematics-Computing (MI) portal.

All students holding a baccalaureate or a diploma deemed equivalent by the pedagogical committee are eligible to enroll in the first year.
