The University Diploma (DU) "Prépa Talents du service public - Politiques Publiques Sanitaires, Sociales, Médico-sociales et de l'Emploi (POSSEM)" is a course designed by professionals for professionals.
POSSEM is a government program designed primarily for students and job-seekers from low-income backgrounds or those under-represented in the civil service, to prepare them for competitive entrance exams to management positions in the civil service.

The DU "Prépa Talents du service public - Politiques Publiques Sanitaires, Sociales, Médico-sociales et de l'Emploi (POSSEM)" is a 200-hour diploma in
classroom training, to which digital courses may be added. It is structured around 4 certificates.

POSSEM Talents Prep offers preparation for competitive entrance exams for three types of job
:
- Attaché positions, which can be filled within
hospital, health or social structures, such as hospitals, ESMS
(Etablissements Sociaux et Médico-Sociaux), ministries,
local authorities, ARS (Agences Régionales de Santé) ...
- Inspection jobs, which can be found in ARS,
ministries, social welfare organizations, DREETS (Direction
régionale de l'économie, de l'emploi, du travail et des solidarités)...
- Management jobs, which can be found in hospitals,
ESMS or social welfare organizations....
The main competitive entrance examinations are
- Attaché d'administration hospitalière (AAH)*,
- Attaché territorial spécialité gestion du secteur sanitaire et social,
- Inspecteur de l'action sanitaire et sociale (IASS)*,
- Inspecteur du travail**,
- Directeur d'établissement sanitaire, social, médico-social (D3S)*,

Program

Training takes place over a one-year period, from September to September, with a rhythm of one day of 7 hours of classes per week, excluding periods when classes are interrupted.
Face-to-face lectures take place mainly on Fridays, with possible exceptions on Mondays, in the event of public holidays or weekend bank holidays.

Admission requirements

The DU "Prépa Talents du service public - Politiques Publiques Sanitaires, Sociales, Médico-sociales et de l'Emploi (POSSEM)" is open to:
- Continuing education: 

Subject to availability of places, for initial training: students

Hold at least a 3-year higher education diploma.

Selection: based on application (by the course directors) and/or interview (by the course directors).

Submit an application, which will be carefully examined by a selection committee. Shortlisted candidates will then be interviewed. Recruitment is based on resources and merit, taking into account the background, aptitudes, motivation and potential of each candidate.
