Presentation
In addition to the language requirements of level B2, students at level C1 will learn to master the "academic" skills of giving a well-structured presentation, taking notes and writing complex argumentative texts.
They will refine their written and oral comprehension to be able to perceive implicit elements, grasp allusions and appreciate stylistic effects.
They'll be able to follow a French-language film, for example, without too much difficulty, without the diversity of accents or colloquial expressions being an obstacle to comprehension.
Skills
Competency-based learning objectives
- Listening comprehension: Understand a long authentic document in its entirety and in detail. Be able to take notes during an oral intervention and write a detailed report.
- Reading comprehension: Understand complex informative or argumentative texts, both in general and in detail. Perceive cultural references and allusions, even implicit ones. Analyze various types of writing, including literary, classical and contemporary.
- Oral expression: Develop an argumentative point of view on a wide range of subjects in a natural, well-constructed way. React naturally, spontaneously and effectively to an interlocutor's requests in a discussion.
- Written expression: Write a text of personal inspiration within stylistic constraints. Develop a structured, well-argued personal position in an academic essay.
