By following the Diplôme universitaire Passerelle level B1, students will deepen the DUP B1.1 program to become increasingly autonomous in their interactions, refine their comprehension and become more precise and structured in their explanations and arguments.
Skills
Competency-based learning objectives
- Listening comprehension: Understand the gist of ideas expressed or events related in a speech in standard French, correctly pronounced. Understand informative documents in everyday register at a fairly slow speed.
- Reading comprehension: Understand standard French texts in general and in detail, including their cultural dimension. Learn to infer the meaning of unfamiliar words and expressions. Identifier opinions in simple argumentative texts.
- Oral expression: Produce simple, well-constructed, coherent speech to express opinions and feelings on familiar or topical subjects. Answer and react to requests from an interlocutor in an everyday context.
- Written expression: Construct a short narrative in the past tense. Write a letter of motivation or complaint. Reformulate the main ideas or information contained in a written document.

Program
The hourly volume is 235 hours, including an observation internship of 20 hours (18 hours/week + internship).
French for writing, French for speaking, phonetics, cultures and societies, French for specific purposes (French as a professional language in semester 1 or discovery of the professional world in semester 2), individual project (workshops and follow-up of the project to resume studies or return to work), integration into the social or socio-professional fabric (internship/volunteering/trade survey).
Admission
Admission requirements
This course is reserved exclusively for students in exile upon justification of this status (asylum seeker, beneficiary of subsidiary or temporary protection, refugeé).
The minimum level required is the baccalaureate or a certificat of fin of secondary studies. All fields of training are accepted.
In French, students must be able to provide proof of a B1 level in the process of being acquired.
