The aim is to enable students in the first year of the Master's program to complete their Bachelor's degree by reinforcing their general legal training, with a focus on private law, and to prepare their specialization for the Master's 2 program they plan to follow.

 The Master's degree in private law is based on a Master's 1 course comprising three tracks.

- Civil and Judicial Law course (DCJ)

- Heritage law and engineering course (D-IPat)

- Business Law and Taxation (DAF) or French and International Business Law (DAFI) courses

The Master 2 DAFI course is aimed at students, mainly but not exclusively Polish, who wish to specialize in French law and international business law.

Skills

The holder of the diploma is a specialist in private law, and more specifically in French and international business law.

This degree, relocated to Krakow, includes a Master 2students, mainly from Poland, in order to train them in the specificities of French and international law. Given the location of the degree and the target audience, the aim is more specifically to train students in areas of law of interest to Polish companies and law firms established in Poland. The courses, taught by French lecturers, are designed to be practical while offering a solid theoretical grounding, enabling students wishing to do a doctorate in private law to do so.

 On completion of the course, graduates can :

  • monitor legal developments in business law
  • prevent and resolve disputes by interpreting legal rules
  • respecting and enforcing the rules of law, applying business law
  • defend the interests of a customer or employer
  • provide information and reasoned advice on legal and procedural issues
  • adapt solutions to the needs of a customer or employer
  • advising individuals and companies on business law matters
  • advising company directors on employment, tax and wealth management issues.

In concrete terms, the skills acquired will enable graduates to :

  • draft deeds, legal summaries, conclusions and present summary reports,
  • master the theoretical and practical fundamentals of the law,
  • work independently,
  • update your knowledge,
  • use computer databases applied to the legal sector,
  • quickly analyze and synthesize problems presented by a customer or employer,
  • understand the customer's or company's environment in its global and transversal aspects,
  • analyze an economic situation in terms of domestic and international law and taxation,
  • identify and qualify company and customer objectives and constraints,
  • identify and qualify the legal and tax issues to be resolved

Organization

Knowledge control

Teaching units are assessed by continuous assessment and/or written and oral final exams. They are definitively acquired once the student has obtained an average grade, and are assigned a coefficient and European credits. Compensations are made over the semester on the basis of the overall average of grades obtained in the various teaching units, weighted by coefficients. Two assessment sessions are organized for each semester.
