Presentation
The Master's degree in Business Administration and Management offers three typical courses:
- Business Administration (AE) ;
- Management of Health, Cosmetics and Food Processing Companies (MESC2A) ;
- Management Research and Consulting.
The MESC2A pathway follows the philosophy of developing dual skills in M2, but applies them to the following specific sectors of activity: Agri-food, cosmetics, bio-medical and pharmaceuticals. As a result, this course is aimed at students who, after acquiring skills in scientific fields such as biotechnology, biology, physiology, genetics, biochemistry and chemistry, and wishing to open up to new professional outlets, are looking to complement their initial curriculum by learning management techniques. The course offers a cross-disciplinary approach to management, enabling students to acquire a dual skill set that will facilitate their integration into the workforce and/or their subsequent career development at management level. This training is recognized by companies seeking employees capable of taking on responsibilities requiring both a scientific and managerial understanding of operational and strategic issues. By way of example, the following types of jobs are available: - in production: production manager - in development: R&D manager, technology watch, research department - in quality: auditor, consultant, quality assurance - in marketing: product manager, technical sales representative, market research, product communication - in management: company manager, strategy consultant - in regulation: regulatory departments.
Skills
On completion of the course, graduates will be able to work in a company in the bio-industry sector at executive level, and more specifically:
> Manage a project or activity as a whole
> Communicate using a variety of media
> Manage a team and apply interpersonal skills
In addition, they will develop the following skills:
> Understand innovation and product development
> Understand customer requirements and translate them into marketing and sales plans
> Know the basics of financial management and how it relates to the strategic objectives of the company or organization
> Convey the methods and mindset of quality (processes, services, organization of quality control)
> Understand and work in English.

Knowledge control
Teaching units are assessed by continuous assessment and/or written and oral final exams. They are definitively acquired once the student has obtained an average grade, and are assigned a coefficient and European credits. Compensations are made over the semester on the basis of the overall average of grades obtained in the various teaching units, weighted by coefficients. Two assessment sessions are organized for each semester.
Special features
This Master's degree meets the needs of companies for managers with a dual scientific and management background, enabling them to quickly understand issues and bring projects to fruition.
