This Master's degree in Mechatronics from the Polytech Orléans engineering school offers a specialized program open to students looking for high-level training at the interface between Robotics, Signal Processing, Instrumentation and Automation.

Three career paths are offered: Robotics, Automation, Internet of things.

The MARS master's program has three main objectives:

 - offer training through research in mechatronics, including robotics, automation, instrumentation and signal processing;

- interest the best students in preparing theses in the proposed fields;

 - provide students with the knowledge required for analysis, robotic system modeling and integration, vision-based control and signal processing.

The graduate will be able to carry out the following activities:

  • Robotics design, modeling and control,
  • Deployment of intelligent robotic systems, capable of interaction and cooperation (with humans, the environment or other robots) and endowed with adaptive or autonomous capabilities,
  • Analysis and optimization of industrial robotic systems,
  • Development and implementation of control systems to improve propulsion systems by minimizing their environmental footprint,
  • Design, define and carry out design and development work on new products or processes in an industrial environment,
  • Innovation and technology watch in fields related to robotics, automation and signal processing,
  • Study project feasibility and develop technical and technological proposals in the fields of robotics, automation and signal processing,
  • Carry out tests and trials, analyze results and determine possible improvements to an object, solution or process,
  • Monitor and control systems,
  • Acquire and process data,
  • Design interfaces and software,
  • Quality control using machine vision,
  • Transmit and code information,
  • Use computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software,

Program

90% of M1 courses are taught on the Orléans campus. The lectures in these courses are shared with the 3A and 4A courses at Polytech' Orléans. During the second year of the M2 master's program, semester 3 includes a common core of courses leading to the following career paths: Robotics, Automatics, Signal (offered on the Orléans campus), and the fourth career path offered by INSA Centre Val de Loire on the Blois site. A collaborative project must be carried out from November to March. Semester 4 is dedicated to an internship in a company or research laboratory working on mechatronics topics.
