Presentation
The Master's in Chemistry comprises four courses:
-
Analytical Chemistry and Quality Assurance (C2AQ)
-
Bioactives and Cosmetics (BC)
-
Organic Chemistry and Therapeutics (COT)
-
Sustainable Development and Energy Transition (D2TE)
The BC, C2AQ, COT and D2TE-option Materials courses are open to Master 2 students on an apprenticeship basis.
The two-year Analytical Chemistry and Quality Assurance (C2AQ) program trains managers with advanced skills in Analytical Chemistry, Statistical Tools, Data Processing, Control and Quality. Graduates of this program will have expertise in the development and validation of inorganic and organic analytical methods for complex samples, applicable in all industries, including pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetics and agri-food, as well as in analytical and control service companies and public bodies (Fraud Control, ANSES, Scientific Police or Gendarmerie, Customs, academic laboratories).
Training locations: Orléans
Skills
The C2AQ specialization provides the knowledge needed to analyze organic compounds, whether pure or in complex mixtures. It provides students with skills in targeted areas (separative methods, coupled techniques, sample processing, quality assurance and method validation).
International dimension
The Master's degree is offered as a double-diploma in partnership with the Jagiellonian University of Krakow in Poland. International mobility is also possible with other partner universities for a period of study or internship during the course.

Program
Lessons learned
The first year ends with a 4-5 month internship in a professional environment.
The second year includes a research or entrepreneurship project (for students on apprenticeship contracts) and ends with a 6-month internship in a professional, industrial or academic environment, giving our graduates a strong practical experience.
The projects
Introduction to research : in the form of practical work in M1 (for all students) and in the form of a laboratory project in M2 (for students in initial training).
Entrepreneurship project (M2 Apprenticeship): an approach to business creation through an entrepreneurship project, enabling students to acquire managerial skills, tools and methods.
Internships in companies or academic laboratories
R&D in chemistry, analytical development, quality control, validation and quality assurance.
Dissertation/Report: Carrying out a study assigned by the host company (summarizing the results in a dissertation/report and presenting it to a panel of judges).
Admission
Admission requirements
The C2AQ Master's degree in Chemistry is open to holders of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Sciences or a University Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T) 3 degree in Analytical Chemistry in the 1st year, and to external candidates in the 2nd year (by application and interview) holding a first-year Master's degree or an engineering degree with a specialization in analytical chemistry.
