Master in Mathematics and Applications
Faculty of Science & Technology offers students the opportunity to continue their studies with a Master's degree in Mathematics, in partnership with the University of Tours.
All courses are taught at the University of Tours.
Professional objectives :
The Master's degree in Mathematics and Applications trains :
- students to an introduction to research which, for those who wish and subject to excellent results, leads to a thesis;
- agrégés in mathematics, preparing them throughout the Master's program for both the written and oral exams;
- research and development" sectors in private companies can also be considered.
Numerous gateways enable students to envisage possible reorientations during the course of their studies towards professional or teaching careers.

- research into the themes developed by the Institut Denis Poisson (https://www.idpoisson.fr/), which brings together the mathematical research activities of the universities of Orléans and Tours.

Admission
Admission requirements
The selection criteria are as follows:
- Sufficient level in fundamental disciplines for the Master's degree.
- Sufficient mastery of fundamental skills (especially language skills).
- Student's personal/professional project in line with the Master's program. Limited capacity or selective access. Accessible through validation of prior learning.
Access to M1 :
Recruitment is essentially based on holders of a mathematics degree. Recruitment is based on an application file, with the possibility of an interview.
Admission to M2 :
Automatic access for students from the M1 "Mathematics and Applications" Orléans-Tours program.
Students from equivalent programs can apply for M2, in which case recruitment is based on an application file and a possible interview.

Following this Master's degree, students will have a good general knowledge of fundamental mathematics (syllabus for the agrégation in mathematics) and specialization in research.
Studying abroad
The Master has an international vocation. Agreements have been signed with foreign universities, including a co-diploma with the "Mathematics and Applications" Master's programat the University of Natural Sciences inHo Chi Minh City and the "Laurea Magistrale di Matematica" Master's program at the University of Ferrara in Italy.
