Graduates of this program will become scientific managers, project managers and consultants, including internationally, and will be able to take on assignments in organization, production, technology watch, innovation and R&D, both in the private sector and in public research and higher education organizations.
The Master's degree is co-accredited by 3 institutions: Université de Tours, Université d'Orléans and INSA CVL.
Skills
1. Knowledge and understanding of the scientific field of Mechanics of Materials, Structures and Civil Engineering
2 Knowledge and understanding of coupling phenomena (thermo-mechanical, fluid-structure, etc.)
3. Mastering the research process: identifying and solving unfamiliar and incompletely defined problems, collecting and interpreting data, experimenting.
4. Ability to integrate, lead and develop an organization: commitment and leadership, project management, communication with specialists and non-specialists alike.

Organization
Special features
The Master is co-accredited by 3 institutions: Université François Rabelais de Tours (UT), Université d'Orléans (UO) and INSA CVL.
M1 can be taken at Polytech Orléans (Génie Civil, Innovation & Conception des Matériaux) or at INSA CVL.
M2 can be taken at Polytech Orléans, Polytech Tours or at INSA CVL.
Specific Master courses (set up by the three institutions) will use videoconferencing and virtual classroom facilities.
2 specialties in Orléans: Polytech Orléans (Civil Engineering, Design Innovation and Materials)
Program
Teaching model
The course is offered in synergy with three engineering schools in the Centre-Val de Loire region:
https://www.univ-orleans.fr/polytech
https://insa-centrevaldeloire.fr/fr/formation/master
https://polytech.univ-tours.fr/
It is based on a real equivalence between the content of the mechanical engineering courses offered by the different schools.
The M1 course is based on the pooling of 4th year engineering courses from Polytech Orléans and INSA Centre Val de Loire.
The M1 program is divided into two semesters. Each semester comprises three units: a basic mechanics unit, a cross-disciplinary unit and an applied science unit. For the first two, there are equivalent courses at both schools. The third is offered with the choice linked to the orientations of the schools and their courses.
Part of the M2 program involves pooling some of the Master's courses with those of the engineering programs (5th year) at Polytech Orléans, Polytech Tours and INSA Centre Val de Loire (as for M1).
The M2 program consists of one semester of teaching (S9) and one semester of internship (S10).
