Presentation
The Monnaie Banque Finance Assurance (MBFA) Master's degree is a state diploma awarded by the University of Orléans and is attached to theFaculty of Law, Economics & Management. It comprises two tracks: the Risk Management and Green Finance (GRFV) track, in initial training, and the Professional and Wealth Management Advisor (CPGP) track, a work-study program in collaboration with the École supérieure de la banque (ESB).
The Risk Management and Green Finance (RMGF) program is designed to train professionals in banking and insurance risk management, by developing dual expertise in finance and non-financial issues. The two-year course covers the diverse themes of risk management and sustainable finance, while maintaining a balance between the unchanging fundamentals of banking and finance, and the business skills required for contemporary and future developments. The training program's pedagogical model therefore has two complementary objectives:
(i) a solid grasp of the fundamentals, thanks to high-level teaching by research professors and industry professionals recognized in their field;
(ii) in-depth, structured professionalization of the training curriculum, in particular by offering students the opportunity and favorable conditions for experiential learning, notably through professional projects, applications on IT tools, and professional conferences.
The special attention paid to the professionalization of students is also illustrated by the importance given to internships in the curriculum. In addition to the compulsory 6-month end-of-study internship in Master 2, students in the first year of the Master's program are offered a 4-month internship in the second semester. An integral part of their training, internships are an opportunity for students to learn about the job market, put their knowledge into practice and demonstrate their professional skills. These internships, the search for which is facilitated by our network of alumni and partner companies, can be carried out in France or abroad.
The program's positioning on an innovative and differentiating market, and the high degree of professionalization of the curriculum, are designed to enable graduates to occupy a broad spectrum of support functions within banking establishments and insurance companies, as well as within the administrative and financial departments of major industrial and commercial groups.
Finally, in the second semester of Master 2, students wishing to pursue a doctorate can opt for the research track, leading to a career in higher education and research, or as an economist in banking establishments, central banks or international organizations.
