At the crossroads of the humanities and the social sciences, the discipline of language science is unique in terms of both the plurality of skills developed and the diversity of related business sectors.
The Master SdL provides students with a solid grounding in linguistics, while giving them the means to bring their operational expertise to the professional world.
A choice of two thematic courses to develop the skills and know-how of a specific professional sector and the corresponding research issues (please refer to the specific information sheets for each course):
- Didactics (FLE/FLM/FLS) and digital (DN)
- Linguistic analysis and processing (ATL)
Providing a gradual specialization from S1 to S3, the courses focus on these areas of expertise through targeted teaching modules.
Courses are taught by research professors and professionals from a wide range of fields, who provide students with the benefit of their expertise and professional networks.

Knowledge control
Teaching units are assessed by continuous assessment and/or written and oral final exams. They are definitively acquired once the student has obtained an average grade, and are assigned a coefficient and European credits. Compensations are made over the semester on the basis of the overall average of grades obtained in the various teaching units, weighted by coefficients. Two assessment sessions are organized for each semester.

Admission requirements
To guarantee the quality of the program and ensure a balanced pedagogical approach, intake capacity is limited.
Applications are open to students holding an SdL bachelor's degree or any other bachelor's degree in the Arts, Letters and Languages field. In all other cases, admission is subject to prior validation of prior learning. The SdL Master's degree is available through continuing education (SEFCO) and Etudes en France (Campus France).
For students living in France, the selection process is carried out via the e-candidat application .
